Just updating you all on some of the farming details. Thursday night they finished up the sunflowers. The only crop left in the ground at this point is beets. They moved fields yesterday so they have one section left plus a small quarter. The weather has been dreary, but nice for the the operation. So far they are not pulling trucks (pray that this does not happen). There is rain in the forecast, but they have really backed off what they were saying earlier this week. They had a full 24 hour shift for the first time yesterday~yippy!
They have had some break downs, but fortunately, nothing with the beet operation. The chisel plow, that has a butt load of work left to do, has broken down twice in two days. Rob is not pleased. He made mention of a couple of more things, but they escape me now. Please continue to pray that the equipment holds up; we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The kids and I are off to enjoy a parade at the U of M. Then we are going to the fire stations open house. We will see if E is brave enough this year to get a ride in the fire truck bucket.
